ABOUT ME

Jennifer Faraone

Runner, Coach, Mom & Author

I love trails. I love running. Put the two together and it doesn't get much better than this! But I'm also very passionate about getting others excited about their own exercise and taking care of themselves. Because when you do something that you're passionate about and put your heart into, you’re not afraid of making small sacrifices, taking risk and pushing yourself to new levels. It’s not about how fast or how good you can be, but the way in which being active makes your life that much more fulfilling. My favorite races are not necessarilty those where I’ve landed on the podium, but rather the ones where my kids were present to see me cross the finish line with a smile on my face.

In addition to working directly with athletes, I also enjoy writing about health & wellness. I've written numerous articles for sport magazines and co-authored my first book The Athletic Mom-to-Be: Training your way into pregnancy & motherhood.

Thank you Juan Carlos Obando for inviting me to do this fun podcast with Trail Unedited. It's been a fun trip down memory lane reflecting on my experiences and remembering everyone that has helped me along the way!

Jennifer's Coaching

Things that one looks for in a running coach: attentiveness, support, experience, and importantly results. However, what's often overlooked are the interpersonal traits like compassion, empathy and consideration that make all the difference between getting 'results' and getting results effortlessly. Jenn embodies a leader, not just a coach, evoking consistent motivation, inspiration and dedication to training and racing. She gets to know you as an individual, in addition to being an athlete. As a result, she creates considerate and agile training plans that concentrate on reaching your goals while keeping your best interests in mind and allowing for unforeseen, or just life, events without penalizing your training. No matter the grandness of your goals, she appreciates and understands that it's a delicate and personal matter that's possible to achieve but not with a one-size-fits-all training plan.       – Nat K, coached athlete
